Wakefield Council will collect all recycling in your brown paper bin from 14th July. You can stop using your recycling box after your last collection before this date (shown on your current bin collections calendar) and can put all of your recycling in your brown paper bin.
Wakefield Council is making changes to make it easier to recycle and state-of-the-art technology in the new recycling plant at South Kirkby means you can start to put glass and plastic bottles, can and jars into your brown paper bin.
The Council will write to remind you and to let you know if you bin day will change. If you’ve not received a letter by 27th June please call Wakefield Council on 0345 8 506 506.
