The Town Council has reluctantly taken the decision to cancel all remaining events scheduled for 2020. This will include the Christmas Lights Switch On and Santa’s Day. This is in line with the action taken by Wakefield Council, neighbouring Councils and the most up to date Government guidance. The safety of our residents and children is our priority and we do not feel that it would be safe to organise such large scale events at this time. However please don’t worry we have contacted Santa and we will have further details of his plans to follow. Please keep an eye on the Town Council Facebook Page for further updates.
