This Friday, 15th February 2019 Councillor Peter Box Leader of Wakefield MDC will be presenting a key to Town Council Leader Councillor Graham Isherwood to symbolise the handing over of Featherstone Community Centre to Featherstone Town Council. This is good news for the people of Featherstone, the decision by the Town Council to take over this community building will enable more families, local community groups and commercial organisation to use the building.
So come along to the Community Centre on Friday 15th February from 9.45am onwards and see what we have to offer. If you would be interested in booking the community centre, then come along and fill out a register of interests form.
There will also be a presentation by wildlife photographer Doug Allan and one by Ian Clayton demonstrating the new mobile walks app.
Additionally, we will be showing the video of the War Horse journey and we have a major new announcement concerning the Commemorative Wood and War Horse site.
